December Beauty Favourites + Empties
Tuesday, 15 Jan 2019
Clearly 2019 has started off the same way that 2018 ended, with me being late, haha! Today I am sharing my December Beauty Favourites, as well as a few empties.
I have a bit of a mixed bunch today, some new, some old.
The Elizabeth Arden *Eight Hour Miracle Hydrating Mist is amazing, especially in this hot weather. I use this after cleansing as well as in between most of my makeup steps. The mist is so fine that you can hardly feel it, and thankfully it doesn’t leave any droplets on the skin. It soothes and hydrates the skin, and leaves my skin feeling comforted, especially after using active products.
Next up I have the Dermalogica Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment. For some reason my nails have not been in the best condition recently, with some dryness and peeling, and I found this hand cream, although light and non-greasy, does a great job at repairing and nourishing my hands and nails.
I rediscovered the *Revlon Ultimate All-In-One Mascara in Blackest Black, and I forgot how much I liked it. The formula is not too wet or too dry, it is pitch black, and most of all this tiny little brush does it all, lengthens, curls, separates and adds volume. I love that the spoolie is small enough to be used on my bottom lashes too.
Next up I have NARS Blush in Sin which I got from my friend Nisa (Belle Blushh). Sin is a beautiful mauve, it blends well, gives the skin a gorgeous glow and doesn’t emphasise skin texture.
Lastly, I have Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle in Spanked, this lipstick is just amazing, from the texture to the shade! It is quite creamy but still long lasting and feels so comfortable on the lips.
Moving on to some Empties:
Healing Earth Hand And Body Lotion- Smells really nice and quite hydrating, but not the best I have tried.
Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue in Just Peachy- I have this at my bedside, it is quite nourishing, but the colour is awful on me.
Dr. Jart Vital Hydra Solution Sheet Mask- I really love the plump supple effect this had on my skin!
*Spalicious Elderflower & Cranberry Twist Shower Gel– I really liked this creamy shower gel.
*Vichy Mineral 89– I really liked this, and will probably repurchase in the future.
*Mio Future Proof Firming Active Body Butter- I loved this body butter, but I think it is too expensive to repurchase.
Maybelline Baby Lips- A nice enough lip balm, but I have quite a few so won’t repurchase.
