The year is winding down, and the excitement of the festive season is in the air, which means it is time to share my Christmas Gift Guide 2019. I have split up the posts according to category, and today I will share a few body and nail picks that I think would make great gifts. I have options for all budgets, ages and tastes, and have included both local and international brands.
I am trying to be a bit more mindful of my purchases this year, especially with the wedding and new house, etc, which is why you may not see this years Christmas Collections for all of the products in my Gift Guides. In previous years I would buy all of the Christmas Collections to review on the blog, which resulted in me piling up products that I just don’t have enough face or body or time to use. So, this year I will mention certain brands and products that would make amazing Christmas Gifts, and perhaps even feature previous years Christmas Collections, but I will not be mindlessly buying products.
Lush is one of the brands that has a huge Christmas Collection every year, without fail. From limited edition scents and products to gift sets, there is something for everyone. There are bath bombs and soaps that would make perfect stocking fillers, gift sets for all budgets, or make up your own collection of products and wrap it in Lush’s own Knot-Wraps.
The Nuxe Christmas Gift Sets are absolutely beautiful every year, and this year is no exception. Ranging from R525 to R850 you can get a couple of Nuxe Bestsellers packaged beautifully in a box. The scents are absolutely incredible, and if you can, get your hands on the Prodigieux Parfum and Candle, you won’t regret it.
Another brand that goes all out for Christmas, is The Body Shop. As you can see, these are old Christmas products from The Body Shop, that I just haven’t gotten to, which is why I am not going out and buying the new scents, although Warm Vanilla and Rich Plum sound divine. The Body Shop have gift sets for all budgets in a variety of scents, including the Christmas Limited Edition Scents. Another range to check out from them is The Spa of The World, there are some great picks there too.
I was sent a couple of *products from Essential Earth Remedies and I think they would make great stocking fillers. Their products are beautifully packaged, smell heavenly, are 100% natural and locally made! I hate mosquitoes, but I hate the toxic insect repellents even more, so for a few years now I have been making my own natural repellent. So, when Bug Off arrived, smelling amazing, I couldn’t wait to try it out! The Ylang Ylang and Chamomile Soak is perfect to gift to those stress pots for calming their nerves, in my case me! There are quite a few Roll-On Scents available to assist with mood, sleep, fatigue, and many more and would make lovely stocking fillers. Lastly, my favourite product is the CBD Intense Heel Balm, giving someone a foot rub with this at the end of a long, tiring day, is the best gift you can give!
There are a couple of other local brands I would recommend checking out for gifts. *Spalicious have everything from candles to body products, and their limited edition ranges are amazing! The Everyday Cream from Skin Creamery packaged in a gorgeous glass bottle is a gift I would never mind getting over and over again! Another brand that have a couple of hit products is Beauty Factory, their diffusers are amazing and they have body products in so many different scents.
Moving on to nails, you can never go wrong with a mini set from *Morgan Taylor. The Rocketman Collection (R290) is bright and happy and perfect for the festive season. The worst part about a mani/pedi is waiting for it to dry, and that is where the Accelerate Quick Drying Drops comes in, claiming to be dry to the touch in 1 minute and completely dry in 8, this would make anyone happy! I will be testing it out soon and will give feedback!
All shades are so pigmented, and you could even get away with one coat.

It’s The Shades- A Hot Pink Creme
