Revlon Photoready Airbrush Effect and Balm Review
Monday, 22 Jun 2015
Hi Ladies
A while ago I received a lovely press drop from Revlon with these two products. The Photoready Airbrush Effect Makeup (R279) and The Photoready Prime + Anti Shine Balm (R225). That was a mouthful!
When I was younger I was a huge fan of Revlon Colourstay Foundation, in fact it was the only foundation I owned. Fast forward to the present and Revlon still definitely has a fair portion of makeup collection. I love how affordable their products are, without skimping on quality. Their colour range is impressive too.
Let us start with the foundation. The makeup features light filtering technology for a flawless luminous finish. The coverage is pretty good, medium to full, depending on how much you use and how you apply it. I like to use this with a flat top foundation brush and buff it into my skin for the lightest coverage. I love the effect on my skin, it definitely does perfect it! I do however find it to look a bit cakey on parts of my face because I am currently going through some dry issues. This can all be fixed by using a face oil with your moisturiser and then applying the foundation, although I wouldn’t advise using a face oil during the day. The foundation is available in 8 shades, and has an spf of 20!
As you can see in the photos below, the finish is luminous and offers quite good coverage. This is in the shade Nude, which is a perfect shade for me. Lighter ladies might have a bit of a problem finding a shade, since Nude is the lightest.
Next up, The Balm. I love this! It is a face balm to prime and anti-shine. It is meant to offer a poreless and shine free finish, with or without makeup. And it definitely does! It is a white balm, and comes with a sponge, although I personally prefer to apply it with my fingers. The colour of the balm blends perfectly into your skin without leaving a weird colour or residue. This leaves a perfect base for any foundation. As you can see below, the top half of the heart has the balm, the bottom half has nothing. My skin looks flawless and shine free. Pretty impressive, right?
These two innovative products from Revlon definitely impress me, without breaking the bank! And the balm is high up on my list of primers.
Thanks for reading Ladies!
