May Beauty Haul

Wednesday, 7 Jun 2017

Happy June Ladies, which means it’s time to share my May Beauty Haul. I didn’t do too much shopping in May, but most of the things that I did get were products I have had on my wishlist for ages. I also placed an order on Jeffree Cosmetics, but I haven’t received that yet, so I will just include that next month.

Becca Chrissy Palette South Africa

First up the gorgeous Becca Chrissy palette. When I saw teasers of this warm toned palette, I knew I had to have it!

Stila Heavens Hue Kitten

I have had my eye on this Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighter in Kitten for a while, ever since I saw it launch overseas. Well, now it is available locally! I bought mine online from The Beautiful Store, but you can also find it at Woolworths.

Mont Blanc Lady Emblem

My boyfriend and I have this thing, where we buy each other a little gift every month. It doesn’t have to be big or expensive, just something that the other would like and to show our love and appreciation for each other. The only month we don’t exchange is one of our birthday months, because then it is all about that person. But, my boyfriend broke the rule, and even though May was his birthday month, he bought me this stunning Mont Blanc Lady Emblem perfume. It smells amazing, and looks so pretty on a dressing table.

The Body Shop SA Drops of Light

I couldn’t decide what I wanted my brother to get me for my birthday, and so I told him to hold on, and when The Drops of Light range from The Body Shop launched I knew that was it! I was sent the serum to review a while before it launched, but I wanted a few other products too. So, I now have all the products I want to try from the range, and will definitely have a review up soonish.

May Beauty Haul

Next up, the MAC Fruity Juicy Pearlmatte Face Powder. Another product I couldn’t wait to get after seeing it. So, as soon as the range launched online I bought it! Just my luck, as always I had issues with my order. I was sent a lip glass from the permanent collection, instead of this. I have no idea how that even happens, but eventually the correct item was sent out.

Sephora Play

Next up, my May Sephora Play box. I am most excited forΒ the Tata Harper mask and the Milk Makeup Blur Stick, overall I am quite happy with this box.

May Beauty Haul

Lastly, some bits and bobs. I finally found the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in my shade! I also got this Tara & Jack Masque from The Beautiful Store. This OPI Glitter Off base coat seemed like something I need, since we all know removing glitter polish is such a mission!

Omg. Looking through your blog and super jealous. Hehe the makeup in your collection is so awesome. Enjoyed looking through the haul posts. So I’m relatively keen to bite the bullet and try to place an order with sephora. I just have a few questions. I did read the blog post about it. 1: do you still use gift cards to purchase or do you now use PayPal? 2: how do you purchase sephora play because wouldn’t it require a credit card? 3: does aramex always add customs to your order? 4: do you pay for the gift card with a visa or MasterCard credit card? Thanks in advance. πŸ’—

Two people have tried recently and told me it worked. So holding thumbs for you! I have used both a gift card and PayPal recently and both work. Yup it works with a credit card, and mine works. My friends also works. Customs is difficult. It’s usually over R500 only. But I have been charged customs on an order less than R500. Customs is usually about 40 to 50 percent. The gift card doesn’t really matter what you pay with. Good luck! Let me know if it works for you. πŸ˜€
