Festive Makeup Edit

Since the festive season and the holidays are around the corner, I thought I would share my Festive Makeup Edit with you.

Festive Makeup Picks

The most important thing to me, when it comes to Festive Season Makeup is convenience, longevity and of course the glow, so here are a few of my makeup picks!

Festive Makeup Edit

Swatches below from Top-Bottom:

*The Body Shop Metal Lip Liquid in Rose Gold- I am not too much of a metal lip fan, as I find it can be a bit aging, but this as a topper on the center of my lips over a red lipstick gives such a plump, youthful look with a sophisticated shimmer!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Dolce- This is such a pretty shade, and I am loving the formula, it is long lasting without being drying and uncomfortable.

Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick in Warm Natural- This is the first foundation I have tried from Bobbi Brown, and although it is a stick foundation, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin, while still offering full coverage.

Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso- Now I know the reason why this blush is so well loved! It is so soft and smooth and blends well, and is one for all skin types and tones, and the blushing glow it gives is amazing!

Milani Strobelight in Dayglow- I think the swatch of this says enough, how beautiful is this highlighter, there isn’t a glitter chunk in sight, just sheer glow!

*The Body Shop Drops of Glow- I am loving these drops mixed with the Bobbi Brown Foundation to give a glowy luminous look.

Milani Stay Put Eye Liner in Linked on Black- This liner is black! It lasts really long, even in my waterline, and the only issue I have is that it doesn’t remove very well, and as hard as I try I still end up with black circles around my eyes the next morning.

the Balm Batter Up Eyeshadow Stick in Dugout- I really love eyeshadow sticks for the convenience, and this one from the Balm is so easy to use. It is blendable, pigmented and long-lasting, and it doesn’t crease either!

*The Body Shop Star Stamp Liner- How cute is this stamp liner? It also has a felt tip on the other end, so if stars aren’t your thing, or for other times of the year when stars are not suitable, there is a super black liquid liner too. Unfortunately the swatch bled a bit, but luckily that didn’t happen on my lids!

Festive Makeup Edit with Swatches

This Face Touch-Up Palette from Bobbi Brown is complexion perfection in a travel friendly and convenient compact. There is a Corrector, Concealer, Skin Foundation Stick and Sheer Finish Pressed Powder. So whether you need to touch up on the go, or get ready in a rush, there is no need to carry four different products, and this is my favourite complexion pick this season!

Festive Makeup Picks

*The Body Shop Drops of Glow Lustre Finish Creator can be used in so many ways to give that extra glow this festive season! It can be used on a bare face, or over makeup to highlight, or mixed with your foundation for a luminous finish, or on the lips or eyelids to add a bit of illumination. My favourite way to use it is mixed in with my foundation, as it gives a glowy, light finish without affecting the coverage of my foundation.

Festive Makeup Picks

Let’s not forget the lashes! The MAC Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash Mascara gives good volume, and separates the lashes well. The formula is quite wet, but there is no flaking, and it pretty much stays put for the night, which is perfect, because nobody wants raccoon eyes!

Festive Makeup Picks

And lastly, what better time to wear glitter than the festive season! *The Body Shop Glitter Dust can be mixed with clear lipgloss or body lotion and applied to the face or body for that little bit of extra fun!
