Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel- Review

Friday, 26 Apr 2019

Any beauty product that contains the word radiant or peel, piques my interest, and the new Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel has both! Before the word peel scares you off, this at-home peel is gentle enough that it won’t leave your skin flaky, but effective enough to give you a healthy glow. It also requires no downtime!

The *peel contains lactic acid (third on the ingredient list) and plant and fruit enzymes to resurface the skin and minimise the appearance of fine lines, and lime extract to brighten the skin. The ten cute tubes come in a handy travel bag that can be re-purposed once your course is done.

The peel is applied to a clean, dry face, and is recommended to be left on for 3-7 minutes before removing. When I first tried this, I left it on for about 10 minutes, and had a slight tingling warm feeling, but nothing uncomfortable. I have since left it on for a couple of hours and even overnight, and my skin looks more refined and less dull without any signs of irritation. This is a perfect at-home treatment before an event to get a healthy glow and remove any pesky dry skin.

Dermalogica recommends an Optional Kick-Start Phase for accelerated results, by using one tube every day for 3 days, and then once a week thereafter.

The tube contains enough product for more than one application, which is a bummer, since it is not sealable. But, it is the perfect opportunity to have a pamper party with a friend or family member, or if you aren’t keen on sharing, treat your hands and chest too.
