Catrice Travelight Story Collection Review
Thursday, 22 Mar 2018
I popped into Dischem the other day and saw the new Catrice Travelight Story Limited Edition Collection, and there were quite a few products that caught my eye. I love the cute packaging of this collection, especially the little nail polish bottle!
All of the products are travel-sized for convenience, and will awaken a longing for a holiday, preferable on a yacht on a clear blue sea!
One of the first things that caught my eye was the Cool & Matt Primer Stick, which reminded me of the MILK MAKEUP Blur Stick. Although this doesn’t really blur the skin, it is used as a mattifying and cooling primer, before applying foundation. It feels hydrating and cooling on the skin, and would be great for those hot summer days when your makeup melts off your face as soon as it is applied.
Next up we have the Radiant Glow Mist, which is NOT TO BE USED ON THE FACE! I didn’t read the bottle, sprayed this on my face, felt a tingle, then read the bottle, where it clearly states DO NO SPRAY ON FACE, which wasn’t so smart of me. To be honest I wouldn’t have bought this if I knew it wasn’t for the face, as I am not much of a shimmery body mist fan. But I like that it doesn’t feel sticky, is refreshing and hydrating, and the shimmer isn’t chunky glitter, but rather a dewy glow.
How cute is this nail polish bottle! I have the shade Chilly Orange, and it is the most stunning bright orange, perfect for a holiday! There are four different shades, and you can check out the swatches on Ordinary Misfit, but the orange was my must-have.
Swatches from Top-Bottom:
How cute is the boat embossing on this Blush & Bronze Duo in From Dusk Till Dawn? This duo looks stunning used individually or swirled together. Both shades have a subtle shimmer to add that sun-kissed glow. The powder picks up well, and applies well, but does need a bit of work to blend.
Lastly, I have the Cool & Matt Lip Colours in Chilly Orange and Refreshed Red. These matt finish lipsticks really do have a tingling cooling feeling on the lips, I don’t really think it is necessary, but it is a cool effect and I don’t mind it. The formula of this isn’t the greatest or smoothest, but I absolutely love the look it gives! It gives an almost powdery stained look that is so pigmented and long lasting.
Have you tried anything from the Catrice Travelight Story Collection?
